Growing up in Bozeman, Montana, a destination ski town in the Rocky Mountain north, I have been skiing and mountain biking since childhood.
In 2013, not knowing how to swim, but with the goal of completing an Ironman, I began structured training with a coach. Since then I have completed three full-distance Ironman triathlons, and in spite of being a generally mid-pack triathlete, I’ve been fortunate enough to compete at the highest levels of triathlon in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Port Elizabeth, South Africa in 2018. Sometimes it is showing up that counts the most.
I have spent the last five years working in sport to varying degrees, delving deeper and deeper in my own learning and teaching, leading yoga and indoor cycling classes. I am a graduate of the Bozeman Center for Healing Arts 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, a Yoga Alliance Registered RYT200 Yoga Teacher, NSCA certified CSCS Strength and Conditioning Specialist, and a USA Cycling Coach.
In addition to Ironman, I have explored racing in a variety of aerobic endurance, mountain sports, and cycling events including: skimo and nordic skiing; Xterra, sprint, and olympic distance triathlon; marathon and half-marathon running events; 24-hour relay mountain bike, marathon mountain bike, gravel grinders, Gran Fondo, sportives, and cyclocross.
As a coach, I can help you move from recreational participation, hero weekends, and guessing whether what you are doing is working to having and sticking to a plan to compete against others, and enjoy doing it.
